Our mission is to enhance the health of children by conducting and integrating laboratory work, clinical research and community studies. Our physician-scientists and researchers focus on physiological, genetic and environmental factors that influence child development and learning.

The outcome of these studies will further our understanding of dynamic bio-medical and bio-behavioral factors that influence children's development and that promote health and well-being across the life span and generations. Our mission is guided by the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis or care of the whole person.
