Why Naveen Loves Georgetown

“I graduated from a smaller medical school, and I wanted to be in a residency program that wasn’t too big. But more importantly, I wanted to be in a challenging academic environment in an interesting urban setting. I was particularly intrigued by Georgetown’s gastrointestinal transplant program and the opportunity for residents to work at the NIH. Having protected time for research is a very attractive bonus, and working in the nation’s capital allows me to meet people from all over the world. Overall, Georgetown has exceeded my expectations. The work atmosphere is positive, attendings are committed to high quality education, and the variety of patients we are managing is incredible.”
